INTRO TO SHIATSU FOR HORSE AND RIDER
Introduction to the principles of shiatsu and how you can use different techniques to improve you and the horse.
If you feel you need to refocus your riding practice on the well-being of you and the horse, then this course is perfect for you!
Shiatsu is defined by the Japanese Ministry of Health as "a form of manipulation by thumbs, fingers, and palms without the use of instruments, mechanical or otherwise, to apply pressure to the human skin to correct internal malfunctions, promote and maintain health, and treat specific diseases."
In this course, you will experience an introduction to the basic principles of the art of shiatsu by two wonderful teachers. They will show you techniques for the horse and rider that promote better movement and well-being
Shiatsu is a recognised alternative therapy that requires years of study following the energy flow through the human body and horse.
This course will help you to recognise tension and imbalance in horses and yourself allowing for better performance and harmony between horses and humans.
3.45 p.m. Introduction – In the Lounge tea and biscuits and collection of course notes.
4.15 p.m. Group 1 to Human Shiatsu in Classroom
Group 2 to Horse Shiatsu Indoor School
5.45 p.m. Switch Groups
7 p.m. Feedback and questions from the audience.
