Emma Owens
Emma specialises in coaching children and adults who are starting their horse-riding journey. Her friendly and approachable nature creates a pleasant and safe environment for learning and enjoying time with the horses. She is available for private and group lessons and woodland hacks on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
About Emma
What sparked your interest in horses?
I fell in love with a pony named Drummer when I was little and started helping look after/ride him every week until I was 14. I had riding lessons at Mary Bowlers Riding School and was hooked.

What is your favourite thing about teaching horse riding?
I enjoy the journey of someone’s experience when teaching. I enjoy watching a nervous beginner overcome their fears or someone wanting to work on something and aiding that achievement, knowing you made a difference to their riding journey.

What is your favourite memory of a horse?
My favourite memory is meeting my daughter's horse for the first time, seeing how she interacted with him, and knowing he had to be in her life. Seven months later, he was hers.
