We are able to offer a wide variety of general lessons to suit everyone, catering for the total beginner to the more advanced rider. Lessons can be taken outside in the summer months or all year round in our full size indoor arena.

Lessons are available on either a private basis (one-to-one instruction), or as part of a group. All lessons are taught by a fully qualified member of staff.

Alternatively, for those who are interested in classical dressage, private lessons can be arranged with Mrs S. Myers, who has trained with the Portuguese trainer Joao Trigueiros and now currently trains and studies with the French trainer George Dewez.

In these lessons you will learn the importance of the "classical" position and its relationship with the movement of the horse. We have several horses, including our own Lusitano Stallion which will offer you that special feel and show you how to ride lateral movements with ease and grace. 
 
Please note that all riders at BHE wear an approved safety hat.

General Information

Dress Code....No trainers, jeans or shorts please. Riding hats and stout shoes/boots with long trousers are to be worn on all rides. Equipment such as shoes, hats, some waterproofs are available free of charge from the Centre on request.

If you wish to make a booking then we require a 50% deposit prior to the ride. All prices are subject to change without notice - 48 hour notice required for cancellation.
