A 2/3 day Trail Ride to Coniston
We begin our journey from the centre riding out Through 'Grizedale Forest', stopping mid way for a pub lunch. Over Coniston Fells taking in the stunning views to arrive in Coniston for our overnight stay at 'Lakeland House' Bed and Breakfast. The horses are accomodated overnight in a local field. The next day we ride out under the foot of Coniston Old Man to Torver and onwards over Lowick Fell. We stop over at a very nice 'Horse Friendly' pub the - Royal Oak at SparkBridge where the food is good and the hospitality excellent.
The afternoon is usually spent with a steady return to Bigland. This ride can be extended to include a third day that in the scenic ride over 'Walna Scar' (2,000 feet up) and drops into Dunnerdale for lunch at the 'Newfield Inn' Seathwaite. back via 'Broughton Mills' and 'Broughton Moor Forest' to Torver to link back with our normal two day ride.

Normally we will set of from the riding centre and plan a route to suit you or your parties needs. Typically we would ride into the heart of the Lake District taking in areas such as GrizedaleForest, ConistonValley and the Langdales. For nightly stop overs we can either pre-arrange accommodation and luggage transportation ahead for you, or we can drive out and bring you back to your prebooked accommodation near to our Equestrian Centre. We of course also pre arrange overnight accommodation for your trusted steed with feed and lodgings.
