Lake District Fell Rides - The standard fell ride lasts for approximately 2 hours
  Fell riding around the Lake District and Cumbria

Two Hour Fell - This is a ride out which takes you over Bigland Fells and through some stunning Lake District countryside. The ride goes over varied terrain and provides several opportunities to canter (more nervous riders can remain at a trot if they prefer). Not suitable for complete beginners.

Half Day Ride - For the more advanced and adventurous riders.  This is a longer Fell Ride which goes over more challenging terrain and provides more opportunities to canter, where the ground is suitable. The standard fell ride lasts for approximately 3 hours. Riders must be able to canter in balance in an open enviroment and have had experience of riding out.

Pony Trekking and Bigland Estate Rides - A great introduction hacking
  A ride around the Bigland Hall Estate

This ride is out over the local bridleway with spectacular views over Ulverston, Grizedale Forest and Coniston Old Man.Suitable for riders with a little experience able to walk and trot independently with ride leaders riding alongside riders to give assistance. Any nervous rider or rider not able to steer independently will be offered the Beginners Ride instead. (You can pay for this with Tesco vouchers.)

The beginner ride consists of a short  ride around the local lanes leading off from the estate  (aged 3 and above)this is a walked ride with staff walking with you. Riders can expect to enjoy spectacular views of the surrounding landscape which on very clear days offers a not to be missed panorama of the South Lakes fells. Suitable for the total beginner and families wishing to see the scenery from horseback. (You can pay for this with Tesco vouchers.)

Exciting Cumbrian Beach Rides - Arranged as part of a day ride
  Beach Riding in Cumbria and the Lake District

This is one of our most challenging rides. A canter across Morecombe Bay Sands to "Chapel Island". Only for very experienced riders and limited to 4 people per ride who ride on a regular basis. Riders are required to be able to control a horse at all paces in an open space environment.

  Day rides in the Lake Distrioct and Cumbria

 Full day rides can be tailored to your needs. We have  many planned routes around the local area stretching from expeditions into the heart of the Lake District or heading south towards the local Morecambe Bay sands for an exhilerating beach ride. We also offer longer Trail Rides lasting 2, 3, 4 and even 5 days!

Day and Trail rides can be a challenging experience for horse and rider and suggest that booking is for advanced riders only.

Booking Procedures
 
Ring or email the centre with the heights, weights, ability and the type of ride you wish to book.  We will take 50% deposit for the ride of your choice via credit card or paypal.  All riders will be expected to fill out a Rider Registration Form before riding.  The dress code for the centre is loose comfortable trousers (preferably not jeans)  and stout shoes (not trainers).  We have hats and boots available at the centre. If you wish to cancel the ride please give 48 hours cancellation notice.  If any rider books a ride and is found not to be suitable for the ride booked on the day(for health and safety reasons) then refunds will not be given for ride changes.  Please ensure that your experience matches the level of ride booked, if in doubt please ring the centre to discuss.015395 30333
